Terms: This is a casual, part time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Medication Administration Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Social service agency

Target Groups or Clients: Persons with mental health disabilities

Specific Skills: Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child welfare check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
