Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $16.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
Also: medical, dental, disability, group insurance, life insurance, pension, RRSP benefits.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, completed high school.

Experience: the best part of a year.

Work Setting: Convenience store

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point of sale system, Electronic mail, Electronic scheduler, Accounting software, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory control software, Basic computer skills (will train), General office equipment

Staff Responsibility: 1 - 20

Specific Skills: Manage staff and assign duties, Determine merchandise and services to be sold, Perform cash deposits, Balance daily transactions, Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages, Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise, Customer service oriented

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Work Location Information: Various locations

Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Computer use
