Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $24.00 to $29.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, some university.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement.

Major Work Area: Overhaul, Maintenance, Service, Recondition

Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy construction equipment, Tractors, Combines, Harvesters, Spreaders, Sprayers

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools

Additional Skills: Order parts and maintain inventory, Keep maintenance reports and documentation, Welding experience

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves
