Salary: will be $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training. Experience: two to three years’ experience. Work Setting: Restaurant Supervisory Experience: Food and beverage servers, Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Establish work schedule, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Prepare and submit reports, Prepare food order summaries for chef, Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres, Supervise and check assembly of trays Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet work schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures Security and Safety: Basic security clearance Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning Other Information: Must have completed secondary education and must have 2-3 years work experience in a restaurant to qualify. College level diploma is an asset.
