Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $13.34 to $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Private home

Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Children, Adolescents, Seniors, Families, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities

Specific Skills: Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Resolve conflict situations

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning
