Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A).

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone

Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence
