Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Work Setting: Drilling and well service contractor, Petroleum producing company

Oil and Gas Well Drilling Worker Specific Skills: Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick, Operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps, Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions and other mechanical equipment, Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs

Oil and Gas Well Services Operator Specific Skills: Drive well services truck to well site, Attach pumps and hoses to wellhead

Additional Skills: Train and supervise floorhands, assistants and helpers, Write daily basic progress reports

Security and Safety: Bondable

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Hand-eye co-ordination, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Essential Skills: Working with others, Job task planning and organizing
