Pinnacle Internationalis looking for Heavy-duty equipment technician(International Truck OEM dealership) Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available. Salary: will be $28.00 to $35.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training. Experience: is an asset. Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement. Major Work Area: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy trucks Diesel Engine Repair Specialization: Fuel injection systems, Exhaust systems, Cooling systems, Air conditioning systems, Engine control systems, Major internal engine repairs or overhaul Mechanical Repair Specialization: Mechanical transmissions, Drive trains and final drives, Power take-offs, Vehicle brake systems Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail Work Site Environment: Non-smoking Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence Work Location Information: Willing to relocate, In shop Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information: We are family-orientated businesses that offer the stability you need to achieve your career goals while balancing your personal life.
