Terms: This is a casual, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), First Aid Certificate.

Target Groups or Clients: Female, Children

Type of Community or Social Service: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders), Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance), Services for the homeless

Specific Skills: Provide suicide and crisis intervention, Resolve conflict situations, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research

Additional Skills: Administrative and office activities, Housekeeping activities, Food preparation

Security and Safety: Confidential security clearance, Child welfare check
