Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, nights, and weekends.

Salary: will be $53,628.00 per year for a 55 hour week.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer

Type of Travel: Provincial/territorial

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Perform brake adjustments, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
