Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $12.80 to $14.35 per hour for a 31 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifesaving Bronze Medallion, Lifesaving Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate.

Recreational Concentration: Aquatics, Aqua Fitness

Type of Clients: All ages

Work Setting: Community centre, Fitness centre

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups, Patrolling/supervising activities

Specific Skills: Enforce safety rules and regulations, Schedule activities

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Prepare reports, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Enhanced reliability security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Work Site Environment: In/on water
