Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $38.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Insulator Trade Certification, Driver’s License.

Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication and layout, Cladding

Types of Systems: Steam and condensate process lines, Vessels and boilers, Towers and heat exchangers, Plumbing, cold water and drain lines, Stacks and furnace flues, Hot water systems and equipment

Specific Skills: Select type of insulation required, Measure and cut to required dimensions, Apply and secure insulation using appropriate installation method, Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Noisy

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others
