Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), Certified Engineering Technician (C.E.T.), Gas Technician or Gas Fitter Trade Certification (1st Class).

Type of Service and Repair: Computerized instrumentation systems, Programmable logic controllers (PLC), Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems

Type of Instrument Experience: Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical

Type of Industry Experience: Refineries and gas plants, Mining and smelting

Specific Skills: Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, Repair and adjust system components, Remove and replace defective parts, Install new control instruments, Calibrate components and instruments, Determine testing and maintenance procedures, Install new measuring instruments

Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Logical approach for troubleshooting

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
