Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), Gas Technician or Gas Fitter Trade Certification (1st Class).

Type of Service and Repair: Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic sequential control systems, Hydraulic and electro-hydraulic sequential control systems, Electrical control systems, Electronic process instrumentation, In-line process analyzers, Programmable logic controllers (PLC), Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, Temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments

Type of Instrument Experience: Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical

Type of Industry Experience: Refineries and gas plants, Mining and smelting

Specific Skills: Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, Repair and adjust system components, Remove and replace defective parts, Install new control instruments, Calibrate components and instruments, Determine testing and maintenance procedures, Install new measuring instruments

Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Complete test and maintenance reports, Read circuit diagrams, Logical approach for troubleshooting

Transportation/Travel Information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer
