Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, Driver’s License, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.

Human Resources Responsibility: 1 - 5

Workers Supervised: Heavy equipment operators, except crane, Drillers - (Surface mining or quarrying or construction), Apprentices, Trades helpers, Labourers

Major Work Area: Excavation, Grading

Type of Industry Experience: Construction

Specific Skills: Supervise workers and projects, Coordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Recommend staffing actions, Ensure adherence to safety standards

Additional Skills: Prepare production and other reports, Oversee apprenticeship training, Estimate material and labour costs

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people
