Terms: This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $35.00 to $45.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications

Truck Mechanic Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Additional Skills: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, Customer service skills

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
