Terms: This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $30.00 to $40.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
Notes: piece work, and other benefits.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.

Type of Experience: Automobiles

Area of Specialization: Front-end components, Engine repair, Electrical and electronic systems, Diagnostics, Brake systems, Fuel and emission systems, Drive train components

Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills: Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
