Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice.

Type of Work Experience: Frame straightening, Uni body machine, Welding and soldering, Metal cutting, Front end components, Body components, Doors and frame, Interior components

Specific Skills: Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components, File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired, Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers, Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills, Repair or replace interior components

Additional Skills: Clean and maintain work space, Instruct apprentices

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is available

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
