Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $25.00 to $32.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification, Machinist Red Seal Endorsment.

Work Setting: General manufacturing

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Machining Tools and Machines: CNC machines, Electric discharge machines, Engine lathes, Milling machines, Surface grinders

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Set up and adjust production machinery

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Computer use
