Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $30.00 to $35.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification.

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Service attachments and working tools

Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Keep maintenance reports and documentation

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning

Other Information: Must live in Edmonton or surrounding area. Able to prioritize, organize, plan maintenance schedules on all equipment. Must have experience in repairing, maintaining construction equipment.
