Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Salary: will be $22.00 to $25.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers, Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)
