Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be $13.41 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Cook Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, Red Seal Certificate, Food Safe Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Specific Skills: Prepare and cook full course meals, Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Work with minimal supervision, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Order supplies and equipment, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.), Clean kitchen and work areas
