Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $28.00 to $35.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement, Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications

Truck Mechanic Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Other Information: Candidate is responsible for up keeping a detailed preventative maintenance program for a fleet of class 8 trucks/ trailers.Regular repairs will be completed as required for both the trucks & trailers
