Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $44,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Major Work Area: Maintenance, Repair, Installation

Work Setting: Gas distribution company

Equipment Experience: Gas pipeline valves, Gas detecting devices, Gas lines

Specific Skills: Check and lubricate gas pipeline valves, Conduct routine survey of gas mains and distribution lines, Investigate reports of gas leaks, Provide information on underground gas distribution lines

Additional Skills: Keep record of work performed and location and condition of equipment

Security and Safety: Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Outdoors, Wet/damp, Odours

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Urban area
