Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $13.96 to $14.25 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Children, Seniors, Culturally diverse groups, Persons who are deaf/hard of hearing, Persons who are blind/visually impaired, Persons with intellectual disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Persons with learning disabilities

Type of Community or Social Service: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders), Palliative care, Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bereavement issues

Specific Skills: Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs

Additional Skills: Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers, Housekeeping activities, Food preparation

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check
