Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Extended Trailer Combination Permit or Endorsement, Professional Driver Improvement Certificate.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Specific Skills: Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform emergency roadside repairs

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
