Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Flatbed

Type of Travel: Long-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Essential Skills: Oral communication
