Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Loader, Dump trucks, Asphalt spreader, Pulverizing, stabilizing machine

Type of Work Experience: Asphalt finishing

Work Setting / Industry Experience: Road construction

Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Operate computer controlled equipment, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment

Additional Skills: Utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS), Complete onboard and other logs

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer

Essential Skills: Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: only apply if you are experienced in operating asphalt milling machines, skid steers or street sweepers or have a class 1 license
