Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $9.00 to $16.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Work Setting: Kennel, Pet grooming shop, Retail pet shop

Type of Pets Groomed: All breeds of dogs

Specific Animal Care Skills: Prepare food and feed animals, Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures, Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals, Assist animal breeders to handle and nurture animals, Monitor and document animal behaviour

Dog Training Expertise: Basic obedience, Canine behaviour problems/modification

Weight Handling: Up to 26 kg (50 lbs)

Additional Skills: Maintain inventory and order supplies, Keep records of animals treated, Supervise helpers

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads

Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Dog trainer is required for daycare, training and cleaning.
