Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $41,700.00 per year for a 37 hour week.
Notes: milage paid.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Membership in a provincial association of social workers.

Type of Clients: Adolescents, Adult, Child, Female, Male, Minority group, Personal or social adjustment difficulty, Social assistance recipient

Specific Skills: Interview clients to assess their situation and determine the types of services required and eligibility, Provide counsel and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems, Plan programs of assistance for clients, Refer clients to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment and other services, Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team working with a client group, Act as an advocate for client groups in the community, Conduct social research, Apply for social program funding, Provide public education and consultation regarding counselling services, issues and methods, Develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs

Additional Skills: Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications
