Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $23.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A).

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
