Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $20.00 to $32.00 per hour for a 47 hour week.

Major Work Area: New construction

Area of Specialization: Assembling machinery and equipment, Adjusting machinery and equipment, Start-up and testing, Bearing, seals and packing, Levelling and aligning

Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Oil and gas industry, Manufacturing, Metal fabrication, Equipment fabrication

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Hoists and other lifting devices, Grinders, Welding equipment, Power tools, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Power transmission systems

Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Install machinery and mechanical equipment, Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, Assemble machinery prior to installation

Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices, Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Estimate labour and material costs, Supervise other workers

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence
