Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Standard First Aid Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate.

Work Setting: Drilling and well service contractor

Oil and Gas Well Drilling Worker Specific Skills: Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick, Operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps, Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions and other mechanical equipment, Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs

Oil and Gas Well Services Operator Specific Skills: Drive well services truck to well site, Attach pumps and hoses to wellhead, Read gauges to interpret conditions and adjust pumping procedure

Additional Skills: Train and supervise floorhands, assistants and helpers

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves, Hard hat

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Confined spaces, Dangerous, Wet/damp, Noisy, Cold/refrigerated

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Willing to travel, Willing to travel for extended periods
