Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Salary: will be $19.00 per hour for a 48 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training, some university.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Chemical application certificate or licence.

Type of Horticultural Products: Fruit trees, Berry bushes, Christmas trees, Ornamental trees and shrubs

Specific Skills: Organize and direct greenhouse and nursery operations, Establish and maintain required environment, Determine type and quantity of stock to grow, Supervise planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying, Provide product care and other information and service to customers

Additional Skills: Order materials and stock, Hire, supervise and train and direct staff

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people, 4 people or less, 10 people or less, Working groups
