Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $17.00 to $19.00 per hour for a 37 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, some university.

Experience: is an asset.

Work Setting: Children’s services facility, Private home

Target Groups or Clients: Children

Type of Community or Social Service: Education or training

Specific Skills: Conduct follow-up assessments, Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs

Security and Safety: Child welfare check

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Urban area

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning

Other Information: Preschool,Family Support, and Aide Support Programs (10-37 hrs/week depending on availability). Priority given to courses in Child Development, Special Needs and Rehabilitation programs.
